Students are encouraged to attend one of our local Lutheran Churches while enrolled at Northern State University.
We provide a half-time minister on campus for spiritual and social nature.
We provide a number of fellowship activities, from movie nights, going to sport activities together, building a float for Gypsy Day parade, pizza parties, swimming parties, lock-in with the local youth groups, or just a fun evening at one of the students homes.
We have Bible study on a regular basis on campus in the Elm River Cafe (just off the Den) on Thursday nights at 7:30 p.m.
There is a support group that meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Memorial Union-Fireside Lounge to discuss the different aspects about being an older student over a cup of coffee.
Trips consist from going to out of town football games, staying with other Lutheran Ministry groups, going to the National Gathering Conventions, and a mission oriented trip during Spring break. We do it all!
A monthly schedule will be published at this site to inform Lutheran Ministry members of upcoming events and special trips.
The current director of NSU Lutheran Ministries is Monte Dell. He is on campus regularly Monday and Thursday or can be reached by calling the church office telephone number 225-1847. Monte can also be reached at his home phone number 229-3878. All students are welcome to stop by the office or call anytime.
